Inner TPU Bladder: The fender’s inner bladder is designed solely to hold a small amount of air — around 5 PSI (400 millibars). While durable, its role is not structural; it simply maintains the fender’s shape.
Outer Textile as Primary Strength: The real strength comes from the patented knitted polyester textile. This outer layer absorbs and distributes impact forces, making the fender extremely resilient under pressure.
Dual-Weave Design Fendertex fenders feature two textile weaves: the middle section (roughly two-thirds of the fender) uses a rigid, non-stretch weave to maximize protection, while the ends use a more elastic weave that allows controlled stretching. This combination ensures both strength and adaptability during docking and mooring.
